Self-Service explained in 6 easy steps

What items can I sell? ReRobe accepts items ranging from budget to luxury, however - all items are filtered by this process:

    • Is the item in season? (We don't sell winter jackets in summer, or beach dressed in winter)
    • Is the item in a good condition? Too worn out items are rejected. However if it's a high quality item, but it has a hole or stain that can be fixed, we'll advise the buyer for the correct garment care to fix it. This will be reflected in the price suggestion for the item.
    • Is the item relevant and/or in fashion? Pieces that feel vey outdated gets filtered away.

Step 1. Prepare your items.

Make sure to iron or steam items that are wrinkly.  If you don't have a steamer, you can use the old trick in the book and put them in the bathroom while you're taking a hot shower. Wait to take the photos until it's daylight outside, then the photos will look much better. Avoid flashes.

Step 2. Find a good spot in your house.

Hang the item so it has 5 cm of free space around the edges. The background should be in a neutral color, or in contrast to the item. Avoid: A white t-shirt on a white wall or a dark coat on a navy wall.

Step 3. Final touch-ups!

Scan the item one last time before taking the photo, brush off dust or hair, zip up zippers, close buttons and make it tidy. The bigger the hanger, the more volume the item will have in the photo. Good to think off for jackets and knits.

Steg 4. Take the photos.

Stand 1 meter away from the item so it's possible to see the item in the photo, with some room around the edges. Take four photos:

  • Front
  • Back
  • Brand-tag in the neck
  • Fabric composition-tag

This is what the result should look like.

Step 5. You help us attribute the item in our form.

All items that are accepted by ReRobe needs to be attributed in our form. To increase the chances for the item to get sold, we need to know what size/condition/color it is on the item and other relevant information.

Step 6. It's published!

This is what the item looks like when it's live on our site. Now you can log into your profile and see an overview over all items that are sold on ReRobe. If you would like to read more about our policies around returns and shipping, payments and what happens when an item is unsold, click here.
